Hearts at the Table Gala Fundraiser!
Hearts at the Table Gala is an intimate evening of connection, generosity, and celebration.
Guests are invited to enjoy a beautifully curated experience featuring live music by The In Between, a live auction, and a six-course tapas-style dining experience prepared by Chef Jenny Carter, followed by a decadent chocolate fountain. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase locally made products by First Catering and others from our Market Table.
This elegant gala shines a light on local producers while bringing people together around exceptional food, meaningful conversation, and community spirit.
Every guest will be welcomed with a complimentary Welcome Cocktail or Mocktail, The Open Chair — a symbol of inclusion, hospitality, and making space for everyone at the table.
This is a 19+ event.
Every ticket purchased directly supports First Community’s Wednesday Community Lunch Program, a free, non-religious, and inclusive meal offered 52 weeks a year. Each week, the program serves 100+ people, ensuring that everyone who comes through the doors is welcomed with dignity, nourishment, and care — at no cost.
By attending Hearts at the Table, you are helping to ensure that our neighbours can continue to gather around a warm meal and a sense of belonging. Together, we are building a more compassionate and connected community.

Beverage Partners
Shuswap Highland Stills has created a special Welcome Cocktail or Mocktail, The Open Chair, featuring their locally crafted Gneiss Vodka. Each guest will receive a complimentary cocktail or mocktail on arrival. The Open Chair reflects the spirit of the evening — inclusion, hospitality, and making space for everyone at the table.
We’re also delighted to partner with Marionette Winery, whose thoughtfully crafted wines will be featured during the evening.
Red Wine – Pulcinella - is a fully inert vessel fermented blend of 55% Zweigelt and 45% Marechal Foch. The Zweigelt brings ripe notes of plum and cherry atop a structure of black pepper and licorice. The Marechal Foch aids in its deep ruby colour and adds complexity with its robust notes of leather and earth.
White Wine – Entwined - is a delightfully refreshing example of Pinot Gris. Aromas of lime, pear, and apple blossom invite you to a palate of lemon and gooseberries. It pairs best with prawns or scallops accompanied with an array of raw vegetables.
Local craft beer will be poured courtesy of Ricochet Brewing. Their beer is brewed lakeside in Sunnybrae on the shores of Shuswap Lake and poured fresh at their vibrant taphouse in downtown Salmon Arm.
Lakeside Lager - 4% Light and clear body, along with hints of pine and citrus aromas and flavours.
Bastion Mountain Brown Ale - 5% Smooth caramel, toffee and nutty notes with an inviting amber brown hue. Medium body with a smooth mouth feel.
We’re pleased to include cider selections from Northyards Cider Co., a craft cidery, orchard, and tasting room located in Salmon Arm, BC. Their ciders are produced using traditional cider making methods.
Semi-Dry - This is their “standard cider” — they take their Dry cider and back sweeten it with ambrosia juice, making it on the dry side, but not too dry. The perfect blend of sweet and dry.
Raspberry - Fondly known as a fan favourite, they add fresh BC raspberries to their Semi-Dry cider base to make a wonderful combination of dry, fruity, not too tart but fully delicious cider.
