Property Team

The Property Team is responsible for oversight, maintenance, repair and improvement to the building and grounds of First Community, within the limits of budget, current applicable codes and current common practices, with attention to current and future congregational needs.

The Property Team consists of three volunteers from First United. These committed individuals look after day to day maintenance of the First United Church building. Many jobs are completed in-house like changing light bulbs, repairs in the bathrooms and the kitchen, and changing furnace filters, while larger repairs are completed by contractors. The Property Team is contacted for anything related to Church maintenance including outdoor requests such as mulch for the flower beds and wasps in the garden shed. The Team strives to keep things in working order and to make First United a safe environment for all people using the facility.
